The Stupidity of the Criticism of Loui Eriksson
I’m really sick of hearing fans, media, radio, etc, criticizing Loui. Yes, Tyler Seguin is having a great season in Dallas, no, Loui is not lighting the lamp every single night. Do people realize what kind of player Loui Eriksson is? He’s a very solid two way forward. He’s playing on the third line with Soderberg and Kelly (I like to call that line the Swedish Fish line.) Some people say it’s a waste, but we’re fortunate to have such incredible depth, because no doubt, he would be a top 6 forward on any other team. Loui has suffered two brutal concussions this season, and is still putting together a year in which he could score 10-15 goals. He’s missed nearly 20 games, and don’t forget, he had his mouth rearranged a few weeks ago. Loui has potential to be that dark horse (along with the Swedish fish line) in the playoffs that Michael Ryder was in 2011. He’s a hidden gem, just like Reilly Smith has been this entire season. It can’t be easy to play your entire career in Dallas and then come to such a structurally sound team like the Bruins. The Bruins play a very disciplined defensive system and Loui is fitting in very well, far better than Seguin ever could. I’m thankful that we have such an incredible, former 70 point scorer on our third line, the line that is quickly becoming the best third line in the NHL in all three zones.
And with that, I say
GO BRUINS! FINISH THE LIGHTNING SWEEP!
